| Rockit Welcome New ET Team |
|
|
| |
Formed as an ET team of friends more than a year ago, rockit became home of several teams spread in a lot of games until now. With sending our TF2 team to an international LAN event (Assembly 2010) in about two weeks we've come surprisingly far in this time. Today we can announce something we only dreamed of before. Taking in a new team of the game we love was always planned and we took our time to choose the right one. Proud, honoured, extremely excited and highly motivated we welcome a team that you might connect with the name of The Last Resort or recently ButtonBashers representing the rockit brand within the Enemy Territory scene from now on.

As one of the oldest, most stable and most successful teams in ET, the new rockit.ET players can already look back on a load of awards including top two placings at the last five Crossfire Challenges, top three placings in all EuroCups they have been part of and more recently winning the Intel Sunday Night Cup II. You think that's enough? They do not, as they are hungry for gold at the Crossfire INTEL Challenge 7 another time.

We're very excited to be joining rockit, not often you get a chance to be a part of a multigaming team that has ET people in charge! It's great because they will understand us better, since they have been involved in this game for quite some time too, running cups and writing news. Also, i'd like to use this opportunity to thank ButtonBashers for everything they have done for us. |

| TeamSpeak 3 open beta begins next month |
|
|
| |
The next version of TeamSpeak, the proprietary Voice over IP software that allows users to speak on a chat channel begins open beta testing on 19 December.
TeamSpeak 3 has been in development since 2004 and was originally estimated to be released in mid 2006, but as this software has been completely rewritten with multiple new features, delays were inevitable.
read more |
Both server and client will be available for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. The rewritten code will improve TeamSpeak's performance and compatibility and allows the native binaries to be compiled from the same codebase for various OS targets. TeamSpeak 3 clients and servers (both 32-Bit and 64-Bit) are currently running on:
- Windows
- Linux
- Mac OS X
- FreeBSD (server only)
All platforms will be 100% feature compatible so regardless of which platform you use, all new features will be available across all platforms on the launch date, including Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008. Support for additional operating systems and platforms will be added after TeamSpeak 3 has been released.
The multitude of features will include fully integrated 3D sound support, improved security and privacy, tabbed voice comms. (allowing you to connect to multiple TeamSpeak 3 servers at once), file transfers, sound packs and much, much more. |

The match aPoS vs. disturb has just finished at the moment.
It is with great envy the two teams played tonight.
22h40, Match Start with aPoS at axis . They will surprise almost everyone by making a full def.
Now, aPoS attack with only one desire: finish quickly. But no luck, The disturb will full def the flag which is not easy to manage. The aPoS had tried somehow to capture the flag but without success, they lose directly.

The match seemed to be over, The disturb are at perfect place , then they were surprised that very quickly, aPoS have repaired the tank and finish the map in a very little time with so good attack that would be hard to do better.
The team Apocalyptic Soldiers won this ECC II 3v3 that was magnificently successful.
We especially thank Homar, iGlooW, Francis and Gold0rak for supporting this 2nd season.
We thank all the teams involved.

This time's EuroCup has got published poules. In fact, whole Qualifiers system was organized in a way that clans were actually fighting for a higher seed. Now, the time to publish EuroCup XX groups has come. Before that CB woul like to mention that groups have been made according to following rules:
* 1 clan from each poule
* clans who played EC Qualifiers versus themselves can't meet in groupstage
* clans from the same countries can't meet in groupstage

The AS of AS , namely NikonN, Helication, Skyline and Ag3nT have defended our colors in the second season of the ECC (Easy Company Cup) involving the major French teams, but also some European teams!
We played in 4th league, as opposed to the Starlights, SMC fun and ex-Extazia, we defended well! Better still we won! Three games, three wins!
We therefore first of the 4th division
Recall also that we still progressing in ESL 2o2 cup and 3o3! Always with the same winning team!
We hope, at the same time, to thank all the teams with whom or against whom we played!
Thank you for reading and please follow our news!

| Crossfire Challenge 7 Introduction! |
|
|
| |
Six successful events are followed by a seventh! The Crossfire Challenge 7 has been announced, possibly with four games.
Stuart "TosspoT" Saw officially announced the Crossfire Challenge 7. The event will take place at the same place as always; the WZZRD Gaming Center in Enschede at March thehe 5th through the 7th.
CC7 and Stuart have always supported Enemy Teritory. This year is no different and the game is the first in the list at the event. Modern Warfare 2, the sequel of Call of Duty 4, is a long supported game too and will join the list.
The last two games are Wolfenstein, CC7 is the first announced LAN event for this game. After a lot of interest and requests, Quake Live will also possibly take place. If it will take place, two tournaments will be held; CTF and duel. If the Quake Live tournament will take place depends on the number of PC's available.
The games :
* Enemy Territory
* Modern Warfare 2
* Wolfenstein
* Quake Live (?)
Tosspot (about ET) : |
It wouldnt be a Crossfire event without it now would it? ET will be the headline tournament of CC7 once again and will feature a similar prizepurse to the last event (which was 5k). However, there will be one change to the ET tournament - as of this moment (though not set in concrete) the ET tournament will be run 5 vs 5. After consulting with a number of teams both in the high and low skill bracket who were likely to attend it was met with approval. The reasoning behind this is that ET's numbers are dwindling and 1 less player per team may well make it easier for teams to get rosters together for the event, additionally it is a lot easier to run 5on5 tournaments as we can then set ET on any of the groups of PC's at the venue. I plan on running some tournaments when the EC season gets to the knockouts/finishes to aid teams prep for the new format. |
